Memento

Leonard is an insurance investigator whose memory has been damaged following a head injury he sustained after intervening on his wife's murder. His quality of life has been severely hampered after this event, and he can now only live a comprehendable life by tattooing notes on himself and taking pictures of things with a Polaroid camera. The movie is told in forward flashes of events that are to come that compensate for his unreliable memory, during which he has liaisons with various complex characters. Leonard badly wants revenge for his wife's murder, but, as numerous characters explain, there may be little point if he won't remember it in order to provide closure for him. The movie veers between these future occurrences and a telephone conversation Leonard is having in his motel room in which he compares his current state to that of a client whose claim he once dealt with.

Overall, this is a great film that is worthy of a lot of your time. And trust me, it's going to take a lot of your time to figure this movie out. The acting is wonderful, the cinematography works great with the memory loss angle, and the telling of the story in reverse breathes a fresh breath of air into the movie industry. Guy Pearce(Leonard) is at his best in this film, as is Joe Pantoliano(Teddy). Carrie-Anne Moss(Natalie) deserves an honorable mention as well. If you're looking for a movie that will keep you guessing to the final moments of the film, then look no further than Memento.

Manhunter

Will Graham is a former FBI agent who recently retired to Florida with his wife Molly and their young son. Graham was a 'profiler'; one who profiles criminal's behavior and tries to put his mind into the minds of criminals to examine their thoughts while visiting crime scenes. Will is called out of his self-imposed retirement at the request of his former boss Jack Crawford to help the FBI catch an elusive serial killer, known to the press as the 'Tooth Fairy', who randomly kills whole families in their houses during nights of the full moon and leaves bite marks on his victims. To try to search for clues to get into the mind of the killer, Will has occasional meetings with Dr. Hannibal Lecktor, a charismatic but very dangerous imprisoned serial killer that Will captured years earlier which nearly drove him insane from the horrific encounter that nearly cost Will's life. With some help and hindrance, Will races against the clock before the next full moon when the 'Tooth Fairy' will strike again. Elsewhere, a local photographer named Francis Dollarhyde, the killer that Will is looking for, struggles to stay undetected while seeing a hope of redemption when be begins a relationship with a blind woman who is not aware of his double life

How many great films were made in the 1980's?? Apart from Michael Mann's truly seminal and masterly thriller, "Manhunter", the only other one I can think of is Wes Craven's original Elm Street movie. The fact that this movie will forever remain in the shadow of its sequel, the incredibly overrated and inferior "Silence of the lambs", is obscene. Mann has created without a doubt the greatest serial killer movie ever. "Se7en" came close; but nothing compares to the thrill of Mann's subtle shocks and thrilling pacing. The acting is impeccable throughout, and Brian Cox blows Anthony Hopkins off the screen as an incredibly menacing Hannibal Lector. A modern classic, and very nearly flawless.

Thursday

A former L.A. drug dealer has moved to Houston to make a new life for himself as a married architect. Everything falls apart when he is suddenly visited by one of his former cohorts who comes carrying heroin. Discovering the dope, the architect flushes it down the drain. This sets up a series of tough customers seeking the dope including a Rasta hit-man, an ex-lover Dallas who ties him up and rapes him, a criminal called Billy with a penchant for torture, and a rogue cop.

This movie was excellent from start-to-finish. I was riveted by the action, the black humour and the incredibly bad luck our hero encountered at every turn. Thomas Jane is a great actor and I hope to see him in many more movies to come. Reading through other people's comments, I have to admit I never once thought about Tarrantino while watching "Thursday" but now that I think about it I guess there are some similarities. I guess I don't spend much time trying to relate everything to everything else. The rape scene between Porizkova and Thomas Jane is one for the record books - sexiest scene ever.

How 'Thursday' managed to avoid attention remains a mystery.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time series.

The three games everyone should play and enjoy. For me the biggest reason I like this trilogy is because of the story, which basically tells a tale of an unnamed prince, Vizier and Princess Farah. Gameplay was secondary for me, all I cared about was the story, I even used cheats to get the story moving faster. Gameplay was too repetetive at times. In the First PoP Sands of Time there was a very troublesome way of killing the monsters but you will eventually overcome it.

Every now and then the game would have some awesome cinematics, which made me want to progress the game even more to see if there is more.

The Dahaka! adrenaline filled moments escorted with epic soundtrack. Prince of Persia The Warrior Within had the best soundtracks out of the 3 in my opinion. You can't beat metal.

My favourite soundtrack:

So yeah The Warrior Within was my favourite game, only downside is that it has two endings and by that I mean one is wrong and the other one is right. Unfortunately I didn't know that and end up getting the wrong ending, what blew me off my tracks for minute or so until I watched the right ending on youtube.

An unforgettable story. Best you get these games and enjoy.

Reservoir Dogs.

They were six strangers, assembled to pull off the perfect crime: Mr. White, a professional criminal; Mr. Orange, a young newcomer; Mr. Blonde, a trigger-happy killer; Mr. Pink, a paranoid neurotic; Mr. Brown; and Mr. Blue. Hired by mob boss Joe Cabot and given fake names so no one could identify the others, they thought there was no way their heist could have failed. But after a police ambush, killing Mr. Brown and seriously injuring Mr. Orange, the criminals return to their rendezvous point, a warehouse and realize that one of them had to have been a police informant. But who?

The acting is pretty good, especially Steve Buscemi. Mr. Pink is without doubt one of the most memorable characters I have ever experienced. Considering the time when this movie was made, it is even more impressive the level of interest this movie achieves. All in all, if you like heist movies, character movies and most of all Tarantino movies, Reservoir dogs cannot be missed.

The Departed

Years ago, a powerful Irish mafia figure placed a small selection of his youngest, brightest men into the Massachusetts State Police Academy as cadets. Their purpose is to eventually rise within the prestigious ranks of the state police department, to serve as the eyes and ears of their boss. While somewhere else, a young cadet was assigned with an equally dangerous task: infiltrate the Irish syndicate headed by the man sending in his own to the Massachusetts State Police. Now, one cadet is an up and coming police official with a torn allegiance to his job and to the criminal mastermind that put him there. While the other cadet is the trusted number two of that man, only finding his professional duties are becoming blurred with his current state. But new clues have lead to unfortunate discoveries, when both sides realize they're being watched by the enemy.

This movie is pretty intense. You don't know who is going to get caught and who will prevail. The movie keeps you on the edge, though everyone will probably be rooting for Leo not Matt but whatever you do. This movie is thrilling and has a mighty big worth. Enjoy it.

Heat

In Los Angeles, a gang of armed thieves is hitting serious targets - major banks, vaults, and armored cars. These thieves are led by arch-criminal Neal MacAuley. One of their operations, an armored-car robbery, goes bad and the armored-car guards are murdered by the gunmen - putting LAPD homicide detective Vince Hanna on the trail of the thieves. Hanna knows it will take a lot to bring these dangerous, armed thieves down, and it will end in a horrifying gun battle when the thieves try to rob a major federal bank.

This movie will absorb you. Seriously their gang is perfect they make everything fast and smooth. There were few minor failures which ultimately lead some to graves, but to some extent there is a happy ending, If I may say so. All the action is just perfect and specially the gun battle in town. These crooks had some serious firepower compared to those police patrols. Needless to say they were prepared. Give it a go.

Goodfellas

The lowly, blue-collar side of New York's Italian mafia is explored in this crime biopic of wiseguy Henry Hill. As he makes his way from strapping young petty criminal, to big-time thief, to middle-aged cocaine addict and dealer, the film explores in detail the rules and traditions of organized crime. Watching the rise and fall of Hill and his two counterparts, the slick jack-of-all-trades criminal Jimmy Conway and the brutish, intimidating Tommy DeVito, this true story realistically explores the core, blue-collar part of the mob.

One would say that it would be pretty cool to be in the mafia, but when you see this movie you learn that it's too dangerous not because of the cops, but the other guys you are working with. It is either you whack someone or that someone might whack you. Even joking is dangerous and it might make you get killed, i'ts just like they said in the movie, they don't get angry on you or anything, they come with a smiling faces, like a good old friend and then whack you. Check it out.

There Will Be Blood

In the early years of the 20th century, Daniel Plainview is an oil prospector. Based on information sold to him by Paul Sunday, he travels to Little Boston, California and begins to buy land, starting with the Sunday's farm. He wants to buy up all of the land in the area and smooth talks the locals into selling by promising that he will build roads, schools and churches. He has no intention of doing so of course and his only purpose is to make money. Over the course of his endeavors, men die, the locals get nothing and Plainview gets rich. In his life he makes few friends and many enemies and even his adopted son H.W. is eventually alienated.

Personally I liked Daniel Plainview, he meant only business, that would make him succeed and be above others. This movie displays a very dark times of how the oil drilling was in the early 20th century. There were no safety regulations so yeah accidents were bound to happen. I liked the first part of the movie more, later on it became kinda dull but the ending was what you would have expected. So give it a go.

The Usual Suspects

This is a film about 5 men, who are hauled into the NY police station because a crime was commited and they are the usual suspects. They all agree to do a job together for a little revenge. However, litte do they know that someone else is pulling the strings and that they are all puppets - all because they each of them crossed the wrong person at the wrong time. After the big job, 27 people are dead, and there are two survivors, but the question remains who is the one controlling everything?

An oldie, but a goodie. I like watching fairly old movies which are good because nowadays you don't see many good movies. So yeah going back a decade you can find some pretty entertaining movies. If you haven't found anything to watch lately then watch The Usual Suspects.

My House Minecraft.

There is a big improvement comparing, what I had before. Probably will not build it any higher or wider. Now I only need to start killing enderman and obtain some pearly things or something so I could find the boss dragon or whatever. So yeah thats that.
